“Hey, Little Ant” is a story by Phillip and Hannah Hoose illustrated by Debbie Tilley , It is a story about a boy stomping on an ant but the ant tries to explain to him how he feels about getting stomped and tries to convince him not to. I think this is a fantastic story that teaches children to have empathy. The book’s illustrations are awesome they are realistic and detailed. I didn’t like the way words and how they rhymed it felt forced and choppy but overall this is a great picture book that teaches children to respect others and teaches them to have empathy.
